R Ashwin picked up his 36th five-wicket haul in Test matches – a record for Indian cricket team.
R Ashwin created history on Saturday by taking the most five-wicket hauls for India in Test cricket history. Ashwin recorded his 36th fifer on the third day of the fifth Test between India and England in Dharamsala.
The 37-year-old broke spinner Anil Kumbleβs record for most five-wicket hauls (35). Overall, he matched legendary New Zealander Richard Hadlee and now has only Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne ahead of him.
