New Delhi, November 9, 2025 – The Young Stars Cricket League (YSCL) Nationals 2025, sanctioned by the Board of Sports in India, concluded today in a spectacular Grand Final that saw the Karnataka Champs defeat the AP Superstars by 31 runs to lift the coveted trophy.
The thrilling final, held at the Yamuna Sports Complex in Delhi, was defined by a commanding all-round performance from Karnataka’s Parvej Akhtar, who was deservedly named Player of the Match.
After being put into bat by AP Superstars, who won the toss and opted to field, the Karnataka Champs put on a formidable batting display. They posted a massive total of 226/6 in their 20 overs, setting a challenging target for the final. The charge was led by Parvej Akhtar, who played a blistering knock of 45 runs from just 25 balls, including 3 fours and 3 powerful sixes, at a strike rate of 180.
In response, the AP Superstars put up a valiant fight in their chase. Openers Rituraj Rana and Raman Koyale gave their team a strong start, scoring 55 off 35 balls and 49 off 36 balls, respectively. At one stage, the Superstars looked well on their way to challenge the total.
However, the Karnataka Champs’ bowling attack, led by the man of the hour, Parvej Akhtar, held its nerve. Akhtar returned with the ball to break crucial partnerships, claiming 3 key wickets for 41 runs in his 4-over spell. Despite the Superstars’ best efforts, they were restricted to 195/7 in their 20 overs, falling 31 runs short.
The Board of Sports in India extends its heartiest congratulations to the Karnataka Champs for their outstanding victory and for being crowned the National Champions of YSCL 2025. We also commend the AP Superstars for their spirited campaign and for being exemplary runners-up in a final that was a true testament to the high quality of talent in the league.
