In a historic moment for Indian domestic cricket, Goa’s Kashyap Bakle and Snehal Kauthankar shattered the all-time partnership record in the Ranji Trophy, putting up an unbeaten 606-run stand for the third wicket against Arunachal Pradesh. Their monumental partnership powered Goa to a massive total of 727/2 on Day 2 of the match at the Goa Cricket Association Academy Ground in Porvorim.
After dismissing Arunachal Pradesh for just 84 runs on Day 1, Goa capitalized on their position with Bakle and Kauthankar leading the charge. Kashyap Bakle scored an impressive 300* off 269 balls, while Snehal Kauthankar added an explosive 314* off just 215 balls, pushing Goa’s lead to unprecedented heights. This partnership not only set a new record but also surpassed the previous highest Ranji Trophy partnership of 594* runs, set by Maharashtra’s Swapnil Gugale and Ankit Bawne against Delhi in 2016.
