Did you see we made a massive error? Marais Erasmus recalls the ‘blunder’ in 2019 ODI World Cup final

Marias Erasmus says the six runs in overthrows that England and Ben Stokes got during the 2019 ODI World Cup final was a mistake.

Marias Erasmus has opened up about the freakish 2019 ODI World Cup final played between England and New Zealand and admitted that the he alongside his Kumar Dharmsena made a “massive error” during the match.

Dharmasena and Erasmus, awarded six runs, instead of five, to an overthrow from Martin Guptill in the 50th over during England’s run chase.

This was despite the fact that the two batsmen, Ben Stokes and Adil Rashid, didn’t cross, as they went for a second run and the ball accidentally deflected off Stokes’s bat to the boundary.
